A few months ago, my friend Heidi reached out about the idea of doing a styled shoot together to help promote a new wine country wedding venue in Sonoma, the Maysonnave House.
This charming venue is home to Sonoma's League for Historic Preservation, and it's a perfect spot for smaller, intimate garden weddings, elopements and even rehearsal dinners. Just a block off the Sonoma Plaza, it could also be used just for a ceremony, followed by a reception at one of Sonoma's many restaurants within walking distance.
After months of planning (and a rain delay!), we finally pulled together our Modern Americana shoot with the most talented team of vendors. Inspired by the venue's rich history and Sonoma's favorite red, white and blue holiday, we opted for a fresh, contemporary palette of Copper, Ivory and Indigo to give this vintage setting more modern-day appeal.
Last week, we were tickled pink (as both of us Southern ladies like to say) to see our shoot published in Style Me Pretty!
