There's no denying my love for all the rustic charm of a wine country wedding, but when you find an event inspired by this stunning region, only polished and approached with a strong eye for design, it's the absolute best.
At a private Yountville estate set against tangles of Napa Valley grapevines lined with silvery olive and eucalyptus, Sara and Andy blended earth-inspired greens and neutrals with surprising shapes, edgy details and contrasting textures, for a refreshingly modern organic look.
With the help of their planner, Traci Steuteville of Napa Valley Celebrations, they chose zinc tabletops for their lush, garden-style reception, had florals created in grand scale to match the palatial design of their venue and wove in subtle details to keep things current, like their ombre grey place cards.
In keeping with their event design, they went with a slight twist on a classic: a three-tiered, square wedding cake composed of organic rainbow carrot cake layers and frosted with sharp buttercream edges. (Note to future clients: more squares, plz! They're my favorite:)
